Hollow cheeks: three treatments to enhance them!

Nombres de lecteurs : 115656

Drooping cheeks are among the signs of aging. The skin loses its firmness and the features become less smooth. This lack of tone can be a source of aesthetic discomfort and add a few years to your appearance. The idea is to offer you a genuine thirst for youth and to firm up the lines of your face.

What are drooping cheeks?

Skin laxity is a natural phenomenon. As the years go by, certain cells that contribute to the beauty and health of your skin lose their effectiveness. Elastin and collagen are two proteins responsible for the skin's elasticity. They are produced by fibroblasts. However, over time, the presence of these cells decreases in the body and their activity diminishes.

Drooping cheeks primarily suggest skin that is sagging. Generally, it is advisable to adopt a good lifestyle, facial massages, and treatments. Some individuals perform circular massages or exercises to puff up the cheeks and re-tone that area. Certain aesthetic treatments can help lift them. Of course, a healthy lifestyle will be ideal to support your rejuvenation.

Why choose HIFU, Morpheus, or Legacy radiofrequency treatments?

HIFU

The HIFU treatment promotes the firmness of facial skin. Focused ultrasound against facial skin laxity (HIFU) acts on all areas of the skin: muscles or fat depending on the zones, deep dermis, and epidermis. Consequently, the fibroblasts in the skin will produce more collagen, which will restore firmness and tone to the skin. This method can also target the hypodermis, meaning the fat in the double chin or prominent cheek areas.

After applying an ultrasound gel, the practitioner draws well-defined lines to allow the ultrasound to penetrate effectively into the skin. The session, which is nearly painless (with some tingling), will reshape the contours of the face. The protocol consists of 3 sessions spaced one month apart, followed by a session every 6 months. The HIFU treatment is recommended in cases of sagging cheeks or malar bags (around the cheekbones). While results are visible from the first session, they will improve even further over time. The lifting effect intensifies and fat cells are permanently destroyed.

The Morpheus

The Morpheus is the latest technology in radiofrequency combined with microneedling (tiny needles that deliver this fibroblast-stimulating current directly to the targeted area). This treatment allows for reshaping the skin at all levels, as it enables control over the penetration of the microneedles. It is used on various areas such as facial laxity (contours, double chin, drooping cheeks…).
This technique induces a tightening effect that fractionally redefines the face and body. The radiofrequency works deeply, thus contributing to the firming of the skin. Morpheus is an interesting alternative for individuals seeking an in-depth treatment without invasiveness.

Legacy Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency is a highly effective technique for reducing sagging skin on the face, cheeks, neck, décolletage, as well as certain body parts (thighs, abdomen, arms). In fact, this method firms the skin by stimulating the growth and production of collagen in the dermis over the long term, while also tightening these collagen fibres. The skin becomes more toned.

To achieve this, circular movements are performed with a handheld device after applying a layer of glycerin on the area of the skin to be treated. The tissue of the skin is then heated to encourage the production of collagen. Painless, the radiofrequency session does not result in any particular side effects. On the contrary, the sensation of warmth makes the treatment very pleasant. While results are often visible from the first session, they improve gradually. It is advisable to undergo maintenance treatment to sustain the achieved results.
