Pregnancy: 3 treatments to prioritise after childbirth!

If pregnancy is one of the most beautiful periods in a woman's life, the post-partum phase is a crucial stage. A few extra pounds or some indelible marks may have appeared during these past nine months. To reclaim this different yet equally voluptuous body, here are three treatments that can help enhance it even further.

The Treatment of Stretch Marks

Pregnancy can lead to the emergence of stretch marks. These marks can be a source of complexes. While some forms of stretch marks are difficult to eradicate (such as white stretch marks that have been present for over 10 years, or older marks on darker skin due to the risk of hyperpigmentation), certain techniques can significantly reduce their appearance. This is the case with laser dermabrasion. Using the Revlite laser, this practice allows for the removal of the upper layers of the epidermis. This facilitates the gradual fading of the skin's breaks. The laser performs a surface exfoliation, thus promoting the creation of new collagen deep within. The number of sessions will depend on the severity of the stretch marks.

Carboxytherapy is a second technique that involves injecting sterile medical carbon dioxide under the skin. Transformed into oxygen, it regenerates the tissues and creates collagen. Consequently, the appearance of the stretch marks will be diminished. This method is particularly effective for fresh, red stretch marks.

Finally, the fractional radiofrequency Viva will deliver targeted energy to the dermis to encourage its regeneration. This process is particularly suited for regenerating skin tissues after pregnancy.

The LPG Endermology Treatment

The LPG endermology is a solution for issues related to cellulite, localized fat, or skin laxity. It is a high-tech draining massage. While the effects of “palper-rouler” have been recognised for many years in alleviating cellulite, endermology is performed using a machine equipped with two motorized movable rollers. This massage also employs a suction system that significantly reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Endermology is recommended for both men and women in cases where cellulite is well-localised. This means that it does not disappear even after exercising and maintaining a healthy diet. It should be noted that women are more likely to seek this treatment as they are genetically predisposed to store fat in the same way and in similar areas! This is particularly evident during the challenging period of adolescence or following a pregnancy.

The Legacy Radiofrequency

The Legacy radiofrequency is a highly effective technique for reducing sagging skin on the face, neck, décolletage, and certain body areas (thighs, abdomen, arms). Indeed, this method helps to firm the skin by stimulating long-term dermal collagen growth and production, as well as tightening these collagen fibres. Thus, it reshapes the body, reduces cellulite or orange peel skin, and diminishes wrinkles and stretch marks.

To achieve this, the practitioner performs circular movements with a handpiece after applying a layer of glycerin to the area of skin being treated. The skin's tissues are then heated to encourage collagen production. Painless, the radiofrequency session does not lead to any particular side effects. On the contrary, the sensation of warmth makes the treatment very pleasant.

Take advantage of the post-partum period to care for your baby and... yourself! It’s up to daddy to take over, after all, you did the bulk of the work!
