Scar Treatment
After local anaesthesia, the doctor uses the handpiece to treat the scar for 15 minutes to an hour, possibly revisiting the area. The skin heats up and takes on a tanned appearance at the end of the session.

Quasi painless treatment
You have scars, burns, acne… The skin can sometimes endure numerous aggressions and traumas over the years. These assaults leave behind red marks, and in some cases, they may be raised or recessed. Such scars can lead to complexes. Depending on the traumas it has experienced, the skin may take a long time to fully regenerate. Some skin heals quickly, while others take longer.
There are also several types of scars, which will call for various treatment approaches:
– Atrophic (depressed)
– Hypertrophic
– Keloid (raised)
– Hyperpigmented or hypopigmented
Here at the centre, we have solutions.

WHICH LASERS?
The centre is equipped with four lasers to address different indications:
- The latest Erbium Yag Juliet laser, which allows for skin resurfacing and, thus, the softening of scars due to its 2940 nm wavelength.
- The Pulsed Dye Vbeam, which works on red scars
- The Revlite Qswitch for small scars
- The Morpheus, fractional radiofrequency primarily for acne scars and recent stretch marks.
- The Aerolase Laser, which addresses the pigmentary, vascular, and tensile aspects of the skin.
All these lasers allow for a gradual improvement in the appearance of the skin.

HOW MANY SESSIONS?
The treatment may require several sessions.
The sessions are spaced one to two months apart. Total sun avoidance is necessary to prevent rebound pigmentation.
With this extensive range of lasers, we can treat almost all types of scars. Depending on the desired outcome, these scars will need to be treated with varying intensities. Therefore, in cases of high intensity, the aftercare may necessitate a degree of social avoidance.
Of course, all of this will be decided jointly with the patient.
It is also important to understand (as we are not here to sell dreams at the centre) that the improvement of the scar also largely depends on your skin's ability to heal.

WHO PERFORMS THESE SESSIONS?
Laser sessions are conducted exclusively by doctors specialised in laser treatments.
IS IT PAINFUL?
In the vast majority of cases, the treatment will be almost painless. If we are anticipating a deeper treatment, the doctor will prescribe a healing cream.
Patient Marion's opinion:
“ My experience with laser treatment for acne scars ”
For several years, I have suffered from acne scars on my face. I developed a pathological complex about them. This led to numerous sessions with a psychologist, as I was so ashamed to show myself in public. I could no longer put on makeup. My skin seemed coarse and dirty to me.
And even though my boyfriend, family, and friends never commented on it, I could no longer look at myself in the mirror. I was the only one who could see them. It’s true that when you have a complex, that’s all you can see.
I took the plunge, and I am extremely pleased with the result, as in just 2 weeks, my scars have diminished (...).”

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
It is very important to understand that the success of scar removal will largely depend on your skin's ability to respond to the treatment.
