PROTOCOL
Depending on the hair quality, the doctor will determine the duration to wait between laser hair removal sessions. This interval varies from 4 weeks for the face to 6 to 7 weeks for the body.
It is important to destroy the hair during its growth phase. Waiting too long between sessions could mean not being in the correct growth phase of the hair at the time of the appointment.
An average of 6 to 10 sessions are necessary to fully satisfy your request.
However, there are cases where the number of sessions may be greater. This phenomenon cannot be anticipated during the assessment. Various physical reasons can be responsible (hormonal disorders, too fine bulbs, resistance to laser, etc.).
Patients at the Centre are treated exclusively by qualified physicians. Depending on the area being treated, the session lasts from 15 minutes for a bikini area to 2 hours for full legs, bikini, underarms, arms, etc. During the session, we can treat as many areas as you wish, which will be confirmed during the preliminary assessment.
The laser centre is equipped with a skin cooling system that numbs the skin at the same time as laser shots are administered. The sensitivity during sessions is quite tolerable.
At the end of the session, the laser physician will apply a soothing cream.
THE REGULARITY OF HAIR REMOVAL SESSIONS IS CRUCIAL FOR THE EFFECTIVE COMPLETION OF THE TREATMENT.
PRECAUTIONS
Today, there is no equivalent in terms of effectiveness to laser. Pulsed lights are available in non-medical beauty centres; however, studies show a significant insufficiency in effectiveness.
We do not treat pregnant women or patients with dermatological inflammatory diseases.
As with all medical techniques, there is no such thing as zero risk. However, these side effects are extremely rare (pain, tingling, rarely burns, hyper or hypo pigmentation). The very high technology used in lasers is completely safe.
To ensure total safety, we remind you that we do not treat patients who have been exposed to the sun or UV rays in the month prior to the session.
The complete treatment spans a year taking into account the number of sessions, the time between sessions, and holiday breaks. Therefore, there is no ideal time to start laser hair removal sessions.
Patients with hormonal disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome may see a notable increase in their number of sessions.
RESULTS
It is important to know that laser hair removal currently allows, as numerous medical studies prove, an efficacy of 80 to 90% on the treated areas. However, 5 to 10% of patients will either be non-responders or may need a significantly higher number of sessions. Unfortunately, we cannot determine this before having conducted the sessions. We still wish to be transparent regarding these statistics.
Comfort sessions: Patients who do not wish to or cannot undergo a full treatment may opt for a laser hair removal session 15 days before their holiday, ensuring peace of mind for 2 months after the session.
Young women: Laser should begin after the end of puberty. For those (under 16 years old) who still wish to reduce their hair growth, we offer the REVLITE laser, which is effective for treating fine hair for several months.
