Laser IPL
The IPL laser (intense pulsed light) is a medical treatment designed to visibly enhance skin quality. It effectively targets pigmentation spots, redness, and signs of photoageing, while respecting the surrounding tissues. With a customised and safe protocol, IPL helps restore a more even, brighter complexion and visibly rejuvenates the skin.

Reduction of pigment spots
Intense pulsed light, more commonly known as IPL laser, has become an essential technology in aesthetic medicine. Used to treat pigment spots, redness, rosacea, and photoaging, it visibly improves skin quality without surgery.
Unlike a traditional laser with a single wavelength, IPL emits a broad light spectrum, filtered according to the specific indication, to precisely target pigments (melanin) or vessels (haemoglobin).
THE TECHNIQUE
IPL (intense pulsed light) is a technology that employs controlled light flashes to target specific skin imperfections.
The emitted light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by:
- Brown spots (pigment)
- Small vessels responsible for redness
WHO IS IT FOR?
The IPL treatment is designed for patients presenting:
- Brown spots (solar lentigines)
- Diffuse redness
- Rosacea
- Uneven complexion
- Signs of photoaging
- Small superficial vascular lesions
It is particularly indicated for light to medium skin types. A medical evaluation is essential to determine eligibility.
BY WHOM?
IPL is a medical procedure when used for therapeutic or aesthetic purposes. It must be performed by a physician trained in medical lasers, capable of:
- Establishing an accurate diagnosis
- Adapting the parameters
- Preventing and managing potential complications
INDICATIONS
- Photorejuvenation (skin rejuvenation)
- Solar lentigines
- Erythrosis
- Rosacea
- Benign pigmented lesions
- Certain forms of mild inflammatory acne

PROTOCOL
A personalised protocol is established during the initial consultation:
- Analysis of skin type
- Assessment of lesions
- Definition of energy parameters
- Planning the number of sessions (usually 2 to 4 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart)
IS IT PAINFUL?
The sensation is comparable to a light elastic snap with a slight warmth. The treatment is generally well tolerated and quick.
PRECAUTIONS
- Avoid any sun exposure 3 to 4 weeks before and after the session
- Do not apply self-tanner
- Report any use of photosensitising treatments
- Apply sunscreen SPF 50 after the treatment
RESULTS
The pigmentation spots darken temporarily and then fade over a few days.
Redness decreases progressively.
The skin appears brighter, more even, with a refined texture.
Results are gradual and optimised after several sessions.
PATIENT’S TESTIMONIAL
"I had sun-related spots and persistent redness. After three IPL sessions, my complexion is much more even. My skin is brighter, and I wear much less makeup. The treatment was quick and well supervised."
