Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis or lipocryotherapy is a technology that allows for the selective and non-invasive reduction of localized fatty tissue through cold.
-
Effective and non-surgical
How does it work ?
The technique is based on documented medical studies. After applying gel pads to the target areas, the session involves using a shell that will encompass the fatty tissue we wish to reduce. This area will be "sucked" into the shell and Cryolipolysis (the effect of cold) begins.
Depending on the machines, we can achieve temperatures from 3° to –12°C.
The fat cells (adipocytes) found in this tissue are rich in saturated fatty acids, making them particularly sensitive to cold. In comparison, surrounding elements such as blood vessels, the peripheral nervous system, melanocytes, fibrocytes, and lipid-poor cells are much less sensitive to cold.
This characteristic allows for the natural degradation of adipocytes without harming adjacent tissues.
How are fat cells eliminated ?
The process of degrading adipocytes exposed to Cryolipolysis is as follows:
– Directly through crystallisation, followed by apoptosis (programmed cell destruction due to cold) and the progressive dissolution of the cell with a gradual release of lipids over a period of 2 to 4 weeks.
– Indirectly through lipolysis triggered by stimulation of the central nervous system.
Device Safety
This innovative technique, which guarantees effectiveness and safety, is non-invasive and requires no anaesthesia.
A large number of clinical studies have been conducted to prove the efficacy of fat destruction by cold.
The Cristal Pro has a CE medical marking.
Duration of the session
One should allow for 1 hour per area.
You can treat several areas in the same session.
How many sessions of lipocryotherapy are needed ?
The Centre is equipped with the very latest innovation called CRISTAL PRO.
Depending on the depth of the fatty tissue and the desired reduction, between 1 and 5 sessions will be required based on the initial condition.

What results can be expected and within what timeframe ?
Depending on the initial depth of the fatty tissue, the average loss will be between 3 and 40 mm, which corresponds to a percentage reduction of between 25% and 45% of fatty tissue.
Approximately 40% of the results from the session will already be visible after 30 days, but one must wait at least 4 weeks to assess the average outcomes and decide whether another session is necessary.
Who is the ideal candidate for lipocryotherapy ?
Cryolipolysis is particularly indicated for localized adipocytes, such as those found in the belly, waist, saddlebags, back, or double chin. A healthy diet is essential to avoid regaining what you've eliminated.
What do you feel before and after the session?
The process is not painful for the patient. They experience a mild stretching sensation in the area due to the action of the vacuum, as well as a localized feeling of cold, especially at the beginning of the session.
Afterwards, a redness and a numbing of the area typically appear, which can last up to 2 hours post-session.
Occasionally, a slight bruise may develop, which resolves within a few days. Therefore, the patient can resume their normal activities immediately after the session without any discomfort. Rare cases of panniculitis (inflammation of the fat) have been reported, but this remains exceptional.
After cryotherapy sessions where we deliberately set very low temperatures, it will be necessary to massage the treated area for the following 3 days with body oil or lotion.
What are the contraindications?
Skin diseases
Raynaud's disease (skin intolerance to cold)

Are the results permanent?
Initially, the adipocytes eliminated by Cryolipolysis gradually release their lipids. These are then permanently absorbed by the body's natural metabolism. Therefore, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is an essential factor to consider if you wish to achieve lasting results.
Manuela's opinion:
I was long self-conscious about my love handles after my second pregnancy. It was during a conversation with a friend that I discovered lipocryotherapy.
I made an appointment with the Aesthetic Centre for an initial consultation. I appreciated the advice given during the complimentary assessment.
Sometimes, one does not realise that accumulating various elements in your life, especially stress, causes you to bloat and gain weight, and eat more.
The machine went out of control for me, and I ended up storing fat.
During my consultation, the doctor asked me several questions about my dietary habits and made me realise it was time to take control of them.
Consequently, I decided to follow the recommendation to try lipocryotherapy, and honestly, I am delighted.
In one session, I managed to eliminate my love handles, and in barely a month, thanks to lipocryolysis and properly draining my body (water, herbal tea, liver detox).
I truly recommend this technique, as since then, the fat has not returned, and it has allowed me to return to taking care of my body and my diet.

Cost of the lipocryotherapy session: €450 for the first area, €200 for subsequent areas.
