Peeling

Starting from €140

A peel involves the application of a solution to the skin, resulting in a controlled exfoliation of the surface. The aim is to renew the epidermis and therefore diminish facial imperfections. It can also be performed with the intention of achieving an overall radiance for the skin.

  • Short sessions (15 to 30 mins)
  • Skin Radiance
  • 1 to 4 sessions per year

The skin is made up of two layers, the epidermis and the dermis. These layers deteriorate over time and need to be renewed. A peel, depending on its strength and thus the depth of action, will allow them to regenerate.

In our clinic, we perform superficial to medium peels. Deep peels will be reserved for facilities such as clinics or hospitals.

INDICATIONS

- Reduces acne scars
- Brightens the complexion
- Tightens pores
- Eliminates or diminishes brown spots (melasma)
- Smooths the skin
- Reduces fine lines
- An ideal treatment for the dull complexion of smokers
- Pregnancy mask

It therefore provides a "radiant boost to the face". The depth of action is controlled by the physician based on the type and concentration of the products used and the desired effect.

The sensation of heat is moderate and brief. The face shows slight redness for a few minutes. The aftercare for this treatment is straightforward:

Peeling lasts from 5 to 15 days (depending on the intensity of the peel).

The peeling is gradual. It can be masked by applying a moisturising cream and/or a covering foundation. Sun protection is necessary for 2 months.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEELS :

Cosmo Peel (Dermaceutic® laboratory): This range has several degrees of skin penetration, 15% and 18%. Therefore, we can aim for a fresh look for the face or seek to eliminate skin imperfections.

Mela Peel (Dermaceutic® laboratory): This peel is indicated for the treatment of pigmentation spots, brown pregnancy spots or melasma. Its action has also been proven to enhance complexion radiance and to address wrinkles and fine lines, even if that is not its primary indication.

PEELING

DESCRIPTION OF A SESSION:

A session typically lasts 15-30 minutes and consists of several steps.

1. First, your skin is cleansed with a fruit acid solution.

2. Next, the keratolytic peel is applied to the entire face.

3. Finally, depending on the peel used, we will apply either a hydrating and soothing mask or the Mela Peel to the most pigmented areas.

You will leave with the peeling mask, but no one will be able to see it, as it is transparent. You will rinse it off 8 hours later.

The spots will gradually fade, and your skin will become even and radiant. The Mela Cream should be applied every morning and evening for 1 month to maintain and enhance the results.

AFTERCARE:

Depending on the type of peel used, you may either experience a mild redness lasting 12 hours or flaking for 1 to 2 weeks. This should be discussed and decided with the Centre's doctor.
However, it is essential to adhere to a complete sun avoidance for 1 to 2 months, as there is a significant risk of recurrence of spots.

Number of sessions: 1 to 2 Mela Peels per year, 4 sessions for the Cosmo Peel.

Mélanie's opinion: I used to smoke a lot; my skin was often grey due to everything I was ingesting, I imagine.

Twice a year, I would visit the Paris Esthetic Centre to regain a true glow on my face. Thanks to the entire team, I was supported in reducing my tobacco consumption, which allowed me to discover this extraordinary peel. I also had the beginnings of melasma following my two pregnancies. With this technique, it has nearly disappeared to my great delight.
I truly recommend this treatment, as it has helped me realise many things about how to prevent skin ageing. Today, I have quit smoking, but I continue to go to the centre to maintain the quality of my skin through this treatment and a customised skincare routine created by a beautician. The secret to keeping the beneficial effects of this treatment: Protect your skin with a sun protection factor of 50+ all year round.

Prices for peels : Mela Peel: €300 per session (including the depigmenting cream). Cosmo Peel: €140 per session
