Back acne: the battle of spots!

Number of readers : 17893

What is back acne?

Acne manifests as blackheads or whiteheads beneath the skin. Additionally, it includes unsightly pustules… Back acne appears as painful nodules or abscesses. This is referred to as nodulo-cystic acne, which can lead to scarring. While teenagers may experience breakouts in this area, men are also affected, as are women, depending on hormonal changes or contraceptive pill adjustments.

What causes back acne?

The causes of back acne are similar in both teenagers and adults. The skin produces an excess of sebum or excessively thick sebum. The origin is often hormonal, with clogged pores retaining dead skin cells. A bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes proliferates, leading to skin inflammation. This results in red spots and acne nodules.

Why choose Juliet and Morpheus laser treatments?

Juliet Laser

Scars need to be treated using varying levels of intensity. Thus, the treatment may require several sessions typically spaced 1 to 2 months apart, accompanied by total sun avoidance to prevent rebound pigmentation. In almost all cases, the treatment is painless. If a deeper treatment is planned, the doctor will prescribe a healing cream. The Juliet laser creates micro-coagulation wells by employing the principle of photothermolysis, which involves rapidly heating a specific target, such as fibroblasts, while minimising heat in the dermis.

This technique allows for deep action while limiting thermal diffusion. A phenomenon of skin cell stimulation promotes rapid recovery, resulting in significantly reduced social avoidance. Multiple passes will be made over the affected area, creating several impacts within the dermis. In response, the skin will naturally regenerate by healing at these points, appearing tighter.

Morpheus

The Morpheus is the latest radiofrequency technology combined with microneedling (micro-needles that deliver this fibroblast-stimulating current directly to the targeted area). This treatment allows for skin remodelling across all layers as the penetration of the micro-needles can be controlled. This technique induces a tightening effect that fractionally reshapes the face and body. Radiofrequency facilitates deep action, thus improving skin firmness. Morpheus is an appealing alternative for those seeking deep treatment without invasiveness.

The results gradually become evident over the following weeks as the body produces collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. The skin regains better tone and a smoother appearance. Missing volumes are replenished, and the skin is repaired deeply. The results last for several years and have a very natural effect.

This treatment is particularly interesting for those looking to erase their scars and regain smooth skin!
