Enhancing your aquiline nose through rhinoplasty

The nose is one of the most difficult features to accept for many of us. Too long, too big, or asymmetrical, it can cause us considerable distress. The slender, curved aquiline nose can lead to insecurities. Rhinoplasty can help enhance its appearance.

What is an aquiline nose ?

At the centre of the face, the nose holds a central position. It appears that concerns about the nose generally emerge in early adolescence. This is the period when facial features begin to transform and take shape. Some movements have even been launched on social media to help teenagers feel less self-conscious by posting profile pictures of their noses, which has gained significant popularity.

An aquiline nose is characterised by its slender shape, resembling an eagle's beak. The nose tends to point downwards, giving it a hook-like appearance. Sometimes deemed unattractive, it can lead to insecurities for certain individuals who may find it twisted or not in line with current beauty standards. Therefore, the aquiline nose can be challenging for some to accept.

Why choose medical rhinoplasty ?

There are various techniques for reshaping the nose or improving its appearance. Those wishing to enhance its condition may opt to avoid surgery and choose medical rhinoplasty instead. This less invasive technique involves injecting hyaluronic acid or other volumising products into the nose to remodel it.

This aesthetic treatment will reduce visible flaws (such as smoothing a bump, improving the profile, or lifting the tip of the nose). It does not address internal issues (like a deviated septum). The final result typically lasts between 12 and 16 months.

How does a session unfold ?

First and foremost, the aesthetic doctor will meet with you for a preliminary consultation. They will examine your nose from both the front and side and will be able to answer your questions. At the end of this appointment, a quote will be provided. If the treatment plan meets your expectations, you can proceed with a first session.

During this session, a numbing cream will be recommended for added comfort, applied half an hour before the injection. The session lasts 30 minutes and is nearly painless, thanks to the presence of lidocaine in the syringe of the injected product.

Before embarking on this aesthetic treatment, take some time in front of the mirror to observe your nose and assess its potential flaws. The important thing is to undertake this treatment for yourself. This decision should be considered carefully, but remember that it is a medical procedure, meaning nothing is permanent.
