Pregnancy: 3 treatments to prioritise after childbirth!

Number of readers : 15053

If pregnancy is one of the most beautiful times in a woman's life, the post-delivery period is a key stage. A few extra kilos or indelible marks may have appeared during the past nine months. To reclaim this different yet equally voluptuous body, here are three treatments that can help enhance it even further.

Treatment for Stretch Marks

Pregnancy can lead to the development of stretch marks. These marks can be a source of complexes. While some forms of stretch marks are difficult to eradicate (white stretch marks that have been healed for over 10 years or older stretch marks on darker skin due to a risk of hyperpigmentation), certain techniques can significantly reduce their appearance. This is the case with laser dermabrasion. Using the Revlite laser, this practice allows for the removal of the upper epidermal layers. This facilitates the gradual fading of skin breakages. The laser performs a surface exfoliation, thereby promoting the formation of new collagen deep within the skin. The number of sessions will depend on the severity of the stretch marks.

Carboxytherapy is another technique that involves injecting sterile medical carbon dioxide under the skin. Transformed into oxygen, it regenerates tissues and creates collagen, thus diminishing the appearance of stretch marks. This method is particularly effective on fresh, red stretch marks.

Finally, fractional radiofrequency Viva will deliver targeted energy to the dermis to encourage its regeneration. This process is particularly suitable for regenerating skin tissues after pregnancy.

LPG Endermologie Treatment

The LPG endermologie is a solution for issues related to cellulite, localized fat, or skin laxity. It is a high-tech draining massage. While the effects of “pinching and rolling” have been recognized for many years as effective in alleviating cellulite, endermologie is performed using a machine equipped with two mobile motorized rollers. This massage utilizes a suction system that significantly reduces the appearance of cellulite.

Endermologie is recommended for both men and women in cases where cellulite is well localized. This means it persists even after exercise sessions and a good diet. It's important to note that women are more likely to undergo this treatment as they are genetically predisposed to store fat in the same ways and areas! Particularly during the challenging period of adolescence or following pregnancy.

Legacy Radiofrequency

Legacy radiofrequency is a highly effective technique for reducing skin laxity on the face, neck, décolletage, as well as on certain body parts (thighs, abdomen, arms). This method firms the skin by stimulating long-term collagen growth and production in the dermis while tightening collagen fibres. Thus, it reshapes the body, reduces cellulite or orange peel skin, diminishes wrinkles, and even stretch marks.

To achieve this, the practitioner makes circular movements with a handheld device after applying a layer of glycerin on the skin area to be treated. The skin tissues are then warmed to encourage collagen production. Painless, the radiofrequency session does not have any particular side effects. On the contrary, the sensation of warmth makes the treatment very pleasant.

Take advantage of the post-delivery period to care for your baby and… yourself! It's up to dad to take the lead; after all, you’ve done the bulk of the work!
